Run by Clive Ackroyd who was the head piano technician at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 2001 until 2023. Clive was the technician at the Royal College of Music for 14 years prior to his post at the Academy. He has been undertaking concert level tuning for over 35 years and works with world renowned pianists, he has close connections with Steinway & Sons, Yamaha and works closely with many music departments such as Imperial College, Wellington College, Eton College, Purcell School, King's Canterbury, Kent University and a number of other music establishments in the UK and Europe.

Ackroyd Pianos is an independent company set up to provide a service to anyone looking for top quality restoration work and servicing / tuning for their grand piano. Ackroyd Pianos is also useful for those who are looking to purchase a piano and services can be customised to suit individual requirements. 

All restoration work is done in the UK by our highly skilled craftsmen; the only outsourced work is undertaken by our specialist contractor, who restore the casework to factory quality finish.
